So, I have OBVIOUSLY been missing in action for a few months. I left Atlanta and relocated back home to Columbus, Ohio. Life here is VERY different *cough* slower *cough* than life in Atlanta but I'm trying to make it do what it do. Even though Columbus is home, I had been gone for 5 years so I have been taking the past few months to get settled, get a new feel for the city, and also live this thing called MY LIFE!!!!!!

I am starting a new website along with my business partner called ColumbusUrbanLife.com . The website will be a bigger, better, extension of StyleRazzi. Right now, the site is home to a weekly event listing of all the hot parties in Columbus.

This past weekend, Trey Songz was spotted out in Malibu, CA shooting the new video for his single "I Need A Girl"!!!! The video was directed by Benny Boom so yall know it's guaranteed to be HOT!!!!!!!

I love how they cast a variety of women of different shapes, sizes, colors, and ethnic backgrounds for this video!!!! Trey definitely doesn't seem to discriminate on this one!!!!

WHEW!!!!! Trey's new cd "Ready" is slated to hit stores June 30th........ I think they should've put Trey in some spandex swim trunks for this shot, but I'm sure he can't wear tight trunks cause...............

I was checking out Sandra Rose and saw this post about the chick that supposedly sent the long text message that initiated the entire Chris Brown & Rihanna fight!!!!!

The chick is a 27-year old model named Natasha Ellie. I have seen her playing lead in a bunch of videos and also recognized her as one of the models from the popular Miami based agency Ethnicity Models. You can check out her Ethnicity page HERE!!!!!!

Natasha is a self-proclaimed "Haitian Sensation" and it has been confirmed on other sites through her rep that she and Chris Brown met a few years back in Miami on a video set. The Derrty Ent. vs So So Def celebrity basketball game went down tis past Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. Nelly made a trip all the way from Dubai just to come and put in work on Bow Wow and the So So Def Squad!!!!

Jermaine Dupri, Nelly, Bow Wow, Murphy Lee, Power 107.5 radio personalities, and other Derrty Ent. members were in the bulding for this game. I heard the crowd was CRAZZZZYYY!!! About 4000 people packed into the St. John Arena just to catch a glimpse of the stars!!!

Oh yeah!!!! Nelly and Derrty Ent took home the close victory winning the game 104-102!!!! .......They probably would've had a much higher lead if half the squad Nelly brought to play on his team weren't too drunk to play...... but I ain't one to gossip so you sho didn't hear that from me!!

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.

Stop making excuses for a man and his behaviour.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.

Rihanna & Chris Brown Affadavit

Via CNN.com: "Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

"A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.

"Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

"Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the s--t out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' "

The detective said "Robyn F." then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.

"Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.'

"After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!'

"Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.

"Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.

"Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

"Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

"Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.

"Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.

"She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.

"Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order."

At the end of his statement, Andrews said Brown sent a text message nine days later apologizing.
"In the text message, Brown apologized for what he had done to Robyn F. and advised [Rihanna's assistant] Ford that he was going to get help."

I was in an abusive relationship for 3 years so I can't begin to pass judgement on Rihanna for taking Chris back. I know I provoked a few of the fights but I always had the chance to leave, and I didn't. Sometimes infautation is that serious. Notice I say INFATUATION, not love. Simply because, after my relationship ended, I realized that love didn't feel that way. Love doesn't beat you. Love doesn't try to kill you. Love is deeper than any insecurity.

I guess we will soon find out who this woman is that Chris had previous sexual relations with!!! Let the juice flow!!!! LOL

Last night, Ne-yo's tour (featuring Musiq Soulchild and Jasmine Sullivan) rolled through Atlanta's Fox Theater. I didn't mae it to the concert but I heard from various people, both black and white, that the show was amazing!!!!!

I did, however, make my way to the private afterparty at the W Hotel in Midtown/Downtown Atlanta. Neyo, Mario (who is super swexy in person), and other producers and industry elite were in the building. Neyo was dancing on the table and just having a great time. His girlfriend Tenielle was also there. She is beautiful in person!!!!! Fun Times.

The Academy Awards came on tonight but, during the red carpet, I was still at the Bronner Brothers Hair Show browsing the vendors and watching a real-life verison of You Know You Dead Azz Wrong!!!! TRUE STORY!

Taraji Henson looked amazing tonight. Very au-naturale yet glamorous!!! She lost the Best Supporting Actress nod to Penelope Cruz but it is still a great look for her acting career just to be nominate!!!!

Heidi Klum showed up and showed out, like always!!!!! Her look is almost always breathtaking!!!

Beyonce looked beautiful. I wish she would've worn her usual oversized earrings but this plain jane look works well for me.

Alicia Keys is getting more and more in touch with her "white/italian" side these days!!! Wonder if we'll ever see Alicia rocking cornrows again........

Rihanna Reportedly "Unsure" About Helping Police

Via Welt.de: Rihanna is reportedly unsure about helping police build a case against boyfriend Chris Brown, who left her with facial bruising and severe headaches a week after an alleged fight took place. The singer, according to Us Weekly magazine, visited doctors days after the incident after suffering from constant headaches. And while her parents are urging her to cooperate with police as much as possible, Rihanna doesn’t seem so sure and is worried about how jail time could affect Chris Brown’s career.

Photos have surfaced showing a bruised and battered Rihanna. LAPD has launched an investigation to see who leaked the photos but I bet whoever did it got a 7-digit check!!!!! This is the photo the world has been waiting to see and it is truly graphic and horrid. We still don't know what took place to spark this incident. Nor have we seen photos of Chris Brown immediately following the incident to see if her sustained any facial or bodily bruising and/or swelling. All I can say is no matter what happened, Rihanna didn't deserve to be left looking like this..............

Via TCFreePress.com: The Premier, The Hon. Dr. Michael E. Misick, MP has resigned, effective March 31st. Misick, in a statement issued late today indicated that he has no intention of contesting the PNP Leadership election on the 28th of this month.

Misick came in for very tough criticism during the Commission of Inquiry, led by Mr. Justice, Sir Robin Auld.

Several Ministers of Misick's government have resigned, creating a near constitutional crisis based upon the criteria of 5 elected Members necessary to form a legitimate Cabinet.

Misick is known for his flamboyant style and in previous interviews with the Free Press, he has expressed a burning drive to move the Turks and Caicos from an island agrarian society (subsistence economy) to an advanced highend luxury destination.

In discussions with the House of Lords Committee on Overseas Territories, Misick said, "we were moving fast. Some mistakes were made". Today a spokesman for The Premier said: "Look around you, none of this was here 6 years ago. Every major luxury name is here. How come that is not the story? How come a few mistakes are the story? Two billion dollars of success and a few million dollars of mistakes. Why are the mistakes the story?"

Dr. Gilbert NMO Morris says: The Premier could not be reached for comment at the time of this posting. In the meanime The Hon. Lillian Boyce has taken the position of Deputy Premier and The Hon. Galmo Williams - now resigned - has stepped forward as intending to carry the PNP's mantle for the Premiership. It is unclear whether any political move will survive direct rule from the British.

2009 All Star Weekend Wrap Up

Hey everyone!!! Sorry it has taken so long to post about All Star Weekend but a bish is still tired!!!! Jet Lag is SERIOUS!!!!!!!

Anyway, I was in Phoenix for the 2009 NBA All Star Weekend. This was my 5th All Star Weekend. I have been to Philly, Atlanta, Houston, Las Vegas, and now Phoenix and HANDS DOWN- Phoenix was the WORST!!!!! Alot of people blamed the sparse crowd on Phoenix being "so spread out" but anyone who was in Houston in 2006 knows how big that city is and also remembers that every street in every part of the city was crowded. So, Phoenix being spread out wasn't the problem. The economy may have had something to do with it but I believe the unfriendly-ness of Phoenix played a major part in people not wanting to come. Phoenix still seems like a semi-racist town.

Everywhere we went to eat, servers made it a POINT to tell us that they were out of chicken, ribs, Patron and Hennessy- TRUE STORY!!! The service we received was awful (and I heard the same things from other friends in attendance) and I really felt as though the people in the city didn't want all of "US" there. This pisses me off because the 3 things that you can count on when black people go out of town is 1) We will spend money on drinks. 2) We will spend money on shopping. 3) We will spend money on food. What's the common denominator- WE SPEND MONEY!!!! We like to stay at the best hotels, eat at the best restaurants, drink top shelf liquior, shop at the finest stores but our money still isn't respected. With the economy the way it is right now, Phoenix should've welcomed us with opened arms, and not the frown and shitty attitudes I experienced my whole 4 day stay!

Anyway, Phoenix felt like a ghost town. A country ghost town to be exact. Everyone that reads my site knows that I am into fashion real heavy. Not even name brand designer fashion- just fashion that makes you look and feel good. So, imagine my face when I saw JERSEY DRESSES still being worn in 2009. The men were no exception. I guess big face belts and cowboy boots are the thing in the west/southwest but I really wasn't feeling it. Most of the women didn't seem to make much of an effort to go out. I had to keep reminding myself that this was ALL STAR WEEKEND because, to me, it felt like a regular weekend in Atlanta- but without the fierce fashion.

Now, on to the parties. I didn't arrive in Phoenix until Saturday afternoon. My homegirl got in Saturday night and the first palce we went was to Chase Tower for the Grand Hustle/ Amar'e Stoudamire TakeOver Party. We arrive on CP time and missed the red carpet. The only celeb still in attendance when we arrived was model Angel Lola Luv. She is very pretty and surprisingly doesn't look as plastic in person. We stayed briefly, took a few photos and then headed to the next event. (Remind you we were trying to hit 3 events between midnight and 6am that were all on different sides of town). The next party we arrive at was a Mansion Party far out in Scottsdale!!!! Promoter Mr Rikk of LA and BallerAlert.com did the damn thing. Free Entry- CHECK!!!! Free breakfast food- CHECK!!! Open Bar- CHECK!!!!!! Ballers in the building- CHECK!!!!! This party made me realize that I need to step my actor and baller awareness all the way up. There were some familiar faces in the building but I needed the help of my friend (and Google) to put names with faces. But, by 2am, the open bar had got the best of me so everyone began to look alike!!!! The party was hosted by Kenny Burns and other celebs spotted included AJ Calloway of Extra, Chicago Bulls Larry Hughes, LA Lakers Lamar Odom, DJ Clue, actors & models. Needless to say, we didn't make it to what turned out to be the party of the weekend- The Grand Hustle/ Amar'e Stoudamire Breakfast club at a mansion on Biltmore Estates. I have heard some wild stories about this party and I am sick that we missed it. Blame it on the A A A A Alcohol!!!!!!

Sunday arrived and it was time to hit the mall in Scottsdale. The mall was very busy. The place to see and be seen was a restaurant called The Kona Grill. In the short time we were there eating, we saw Talib Kweli, Drew Gooden (google him, baby), and other NBA players!!! Out in the mall, Akon was walking around causing a frenzy *snore*. Jim Jones also made his 2nd appearance of the weekend at the mall *double snore*. I find it amazing and kind of sickening that these celebs come walk trhough the mall JUST to get attention. Attention whores maybe- SURVEY SAYS YES!!!!

Sunday night there was so much going on!!!!! First we stopped by Stoudamire's Downtown. It was early and the crowd was a bit light. We left there and this is where our sight-seeing adventure began. We missed T.I. performing at a restaurant called Bourbon Steak so we went to another Grand Hustle event. The crowd there was a bit light as well. Going out there made us late for the party at the W Hotel so, by the time we arrived, they were charging $120 *blanks stare* I left there and went to a strip club called Diamond J's. Spotted in the building were Young Buck, a few NFL Cardinal players, and Fabolous and his crew. Fabolous made it hurricane. It was a nonstop flow of money being thrown. Watching them throw money and then hearing the DJ continuously scream about Fab requesting $20,000 in $1's, I couldn't help but thnk back to his 5 credit cards being DECLINED at Erro's in Atlanta!!! LOL!!

Coming from ATL, it's hard to top our stirp clubs- And this one definitely didn't come close. No one was spending any money and, when Fab and his crew came through, everyone sat and WATCHED THEM make it rain. I never understood men that go to strip clubs but don't spend money. That's just as bad as going to the mall to window shop- MAJOR FAIL!

Shout out to Nicole Garner and The Garner Circle PR for making sure we had all-access this weekend. Her events were the only ones guaranteed to be star studded!!! I just have to learn to stay off CP time :-)

I think the day and age is coming where regular reality tv shows become a thing of the past!!! Every celebrity is starting to have their own "TV Channels" on services like Kyte, YouTube, and others. Via PanacheReport.com: A spokesperson for Ray J's new TV dating show has dismissed allegations the R&B singer impregnated a contestant during filming, insisting there is "no truth" to the claims. The star, who has been romantically linked to Whitney Houston-has his own VH1 show, "For The Love of Ray J," in which he searches for his perfect woman.

But the reality program, which launched in the U.S. on February2nd, has already been struck by scandal, with former contestant Monica 'Danger' Leon alleging she is more than three months pregnant with the singer's child after falling for Ray J's charms.

According to a news report, Leon bedded Brandy's little brother in November (08) -but has found herself with child after their condom broke and her contraception pill failed. She tells the tabloid, "I was locked in a mansion with him and 13 girls from October until the end of December. Toward the end of the first week of filming, we made love for the first time - and we slept together every night after that."

Leon-who is now engaged to marry rapper/actor Nick Cannon's brother Gabriel - allegedly told Ray J of her baby news, and the star is reportedly keen to get involved, but she is keeping him at bay because of his straying affections.

She adds, "I saw him playing around with other girls-making out with them and smacking their butts, and it made me sick to think he could be giving me their germs when he was kissing me."

However, a representative for the show has brushed off Leon's claims, saying: "We've been told that the story is not true."

Update On Chris Brown and Rihanna- Chris' Stepdad Speaks

Via AccessHollywood.com: Chris Brown’s former stepfather, Donnelle Hawkins, spoke exclusively to Access Hollywood for the first time since Brown was arrested for criminal threats in connection with an alleged violent incident with a woman reported to be the singer’s girlfriend Rihanna on Sunday morning.

“[Chris] has to take responsibility for his own actions,” Hawkins told Access.

When asked if he believed reports about the alleged incident involving Brown were true, Hawkins said, “I wouldn’t be surprised.”
After Brown’s parents divorced, his mother re-married and Hawkins became Brown’s stepfather.

In a 2007 interview with GIANT magazine, Brown spoke about a time when he was 11 and he told his mother that he would go to jail for killing his allegedly abusive stepfather.

“He used to hit my mom… He made me terrified all the time,” Brown claimed during the interview with GIANT magazine. “I remember one night he made her nose bleed. I was crying and thinking, ‘I’m just gonna go crazy on him one day…’ I hate him to this day.”

“There was a lot of arguing between his mom and I. I never raised a hand at his mom,” Hawkins said in response. “We (Brown’s mother and I) argued frequently… As far as physical abuse there was no physical abuse.”

Hawkins added, “I spanked Chris one time.”

“I became the bad guy. Chris was really mad at his mom for leaving his dad, so I became the scapegoat,” Hawkins continued. “No matter how much I tried to be a father figure nothing worked.”

Via People.com: New details have emerged about the midnight altercation between Chris Brown and Rihanna that led to Brown being booked on a felony criminal threat charge on Sunday.

"Chris knocked her around," a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE. "Black eye, blood, bruises. She had to be treated by a doctor." A police source confirms to PEOPLE that the singer suffered a black eye as well as "a swollen split lip and two red and purple contusions on either side of her forehead." The source, who described police photos of Rihanna, added, "She looked distraught and in a lot of pain. Her eyes were closed because she was looking down."

The Barbados-bred beauty, 20 – who is currently in "a safe place," says a friend – is cooperating with detectives, according to the Los Angeles Times. Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton has said he expects the case will be handed over to the district attorney's office on Tuesday or Wednesday. At that time, the prosecutors could charge Brown, 19, with more crimes. The case could be affected by how much Rihanna is willing to forgive her boyfriend.

"Prosecutors back off somewhat when they see a couple trying to work out their own issues," says Steve Sitkoff, an L.A. defense attorney. But, says the friend, "I would be so sad if she went back to him."

In the meantime, both stars have canceled upcoming appearances: The NBA has issued a statement that Brown will no longer participate in their All-Star Game events in Phoenix this weekend, while Rihanna backed out of a Friday night concert in Malaysia.

So, I've been given some exclusive details about all the drama surrounding this year's Grammy Awards- specifically regarding Chris Brown and Rihanna. Anyone who has ever been the victim of domestic violence knows that usually, when it escalates to the point of calling the police, it isn't the FIRST time, it's THE WORST TIME!!!!!!

Well, details are coming out that this isn't the FIRST TIME that Chris Brown and Rihanna have gotten into it. Their spouts have even been viewed and overheard by other celebrities, that obviously decided to just turn a blind eye. One famous Oscar winning superstar and an American Idol witnessed Chris and Rih Rih fighting at the Clive Davis Grammy pre-party on Saturday night before the alleged incident. Sources also reveal that there was an incident where Chris had been verbally abusive to Rihanna- this incident was witness by a very well known actress.

Supposedly Rihanna is still in the hospital with bite marks on her arms and very visible bruises to her face.

SMH!!! I feel so bad for them both right now!!!! I'm not even taking sides until more of this story is revealed!!! What I can say is that one of them is very obviously overprotective and extremely possessive of the other one. For almost a year now, we have RARELY seen these two apart. Initially, it seemed like puppy love but then, as time passed, it looked more like POSSESSION!!!! Like one was afraid to have the other one out of their sight!!!.......

And, as far as Tameka Foster-Raymond's Grammy weekend drama, reports initially stated that she had passed away. The rumors were then replaced with Tameka just having "major complications" from her surgery. Sources are telling me that Mrs. Foster-Raymond's "complications" were so bad that she was actually put in a medically induced and this is why Usher rushed to Brazil to be by his wife's side. Tameka reportedly woke up from her coma and is now said to be doing fine!!!!

A.P.B. To Atlanta Ladies- Beware of the White Hummer H3

My blog is generally reserved for fashion, gossip, and my random thoughts on any topic of my choice. I realize alot of my readers are from the metro Atlanta area and most are ladies that enjoy hanging out just as much as I do. Well, ladies of Atlanta, this is a public service announcement to you and a sem warning of a possible pervert roaming the streets of the A. Not the average pervert we deal with every time we go to the clubs- A REAL LIVE PERVERT!!!

On New Years night, my homegirl and I decided to hang out at a popular downtown lounge. We decided to leave not too long after midnight and, while driving down a residential side street where we parked the car, a white Hummer H3 was stopped in the middle of the street. The man inside motioned for us to drive around and, as we began to accelerate, this man gets out of the trcuk, naked from the waist down and masturbating. My friend and I were in complete shock but we shrugged it off as just someone that was probably "gettin head in the whip to bring in the New Year". It still disturbs us greatly but we thought it was an isolated incident.

So, imagine our shock this past weekend when we were leaving the most ghetto Waffle House in the history of Waffle Houses- located at The Underground. This time, she and I were in seperate cars and we were stopped at the red light. I was distracted looking into my purse and I see my homegirl speed off. I look up and I see the SAME GUY in the white Hummer H3 standing next to her car. This time, he was butt naked, once again masturbating but this time he had "finished" his deal and you could see the "results". (read between the lines folks). I floored the vehicle. Neither she nor I noticed the light was still red. We were just trying to get the hell away from him.

The man in question is a brown skin black man, seeming to be in his mid 30's and is about the height of the Hummer H3- maybe an inch or two shorter. He always wears a fitted cap and had on white tube socks during the first incident. The Hummer H3 is white. We were unable to get his license plate number just due to the shock of the situation. We realize that, if this has happend to us twice in less than 2 months, the incident can't be isolated.

We are just putting out a warning to other ladies in Atlanta to BE ALERT & AWARE while you are out at night. Luckily each time, my friend and I were in the safety of our cars. But also, each time, we had JUST gotten into our vehicles. We are scared to think what could've happened if he pulled up on us while we were walking to our cars. What's even worse is this time, it was major street in the middle of downtown Atlanta and he has no regard for the possibility of getting caught by the police. Be safe ladies, and if you see anything that looks suspicious or out of the ordinary (like a naked man in the middle of the night standing next to a white Hummer wearing a fitted cap and white tube socks), write down his license plate number and/or call 911 immediately!!!!!

Tiny "Sticking With T.I. Through Thick and Thin"

While taking my daily morning blog stroll, I spotted this red carpet photo of T.I. and Tiny on the red carpet last night for the Grammy Awards on Necole Bitchie.com. Now, it may just be me but it looks like Tiny got some breast implants or a really good bra!!!!!! My survey says IMPLANTS!!!!! Maybe since her Inaguration wardrobe flub (photo below- where her breasts decided to dip out of her dress), Tiny decided it was time to give her girls a much needed lift!!!!! Trust me, I have kids and they can do a JOB to your boobs!!!! Tiny looks absolutely marvelous on the red carpet!!!! I think this is the best I have EVER seen her look!!!!!

Chris Brown and Rihanna Incident Overshadow the Grammy's

Before the Grammy’s even began, scandal was already brewing in the hills of Hollywood. According to a source of mine that was present at the Grammy Rehearsals, Brown was looking a tad bit pissy that his girlfriend ihanna was getting all of the attention wile he urked in her shadows. No one was asking for Brown's photo or autograph. All eyes were on RihRih!!!

Police announced that Chris Brown, himself a double nominee and scheduled performer, was being investigated for allegedly assaulting an unidentified woman the night before. Brown turned himself in to authorities and was briefly held before posting $50,000 bail Sunday night, jail records showed.

Brown and longtime girlfriend Rihanna, also nominated, were both slated to perform in different slots of the show, but separately dropped out at the last minute. The victim of Brown's alleged assault wasn't identified, and it wasn't immediately clear whether Rihanna's absence was related to Brown's.

Police booked the 19-year-old R&B singer and dancer on suspicion of making a criminal threat, a felony. Police did not explain how their initial report of an injury assault related to the charge, but it will ultimately be up to the district attorney's office to decide what charges, if any, should be brought against Brown.

Rihanna was supposed to sing "Live Your Life/Disturbia" as the second performance of the night, and Brown was later to sing "Forever."

And each was nominated in the pop collaboration with vocals category, Brown for "No Air" with "American Idol" champion Jordin Sparks; and Rihanna for "If I Never See Your Face Again" with Maroon 5. Brown was also nominated for male R&B vocal performance for "Take You Down."

Neither won a Grammy on Sunday, and the Recording Academy found able replacements for their performance slots in Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Boyz II Men and Keith Urban as they all sang Green's classic hit, "Let's Stay Together." No mention was made on the broadcast about the switch.

At about 3:30 Pacific time, just as the crowd was filing into the Staples Center, Los Angeles police released a report saying Brown was under investigation for an incident the night before. The report said he and a woman were driving in the ritzy neighborhood of Hancock Park when they began to argue around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Brown stopped the car and both got out, whereupon the argument escalated, the report said. The woman, who had visible injuries when police arrived, identified Brown as her attacker, but he had left the scene, the report said.

Police said Brown walked into a station around 7 p.m. and was interviewed by detectives, and was released after posting bail before 9 p.m. A black SUV was later seen leaving the jail facility, but it wasn't immediately clear whether Brown was inside.

Chris Brown is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom on March 5, 2009.

Fulton County Police Looking For Porsche Foxx

VIA AJC.com: Fulton County fire investigators Tuesday were looking for radio personality Porsche Foxx in connection with an an early-morning fire that destroyed a Union City town home.

One woman was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of a second-degree arm burn following the 2:30 a.m. blaze at the Mallory Park complex on Bagby Court off Flat Shoals Road, said Kieth Padgett, chief fire marshal for the Fulton County Fire Department.

Padgett said Tuesday afternoon that while the cause of the blaze had not been pinned down, the fire was “suspicious.”

Through interviews with the injured woman and neighbors, investigators “learned that two people were there at the scene that left the scene, that we need to talk with.”

One, Tony Matthews, also lived in the town home, and the other, Foxx, was visiting the home when the fire broke out early Tuesday, according to Padgett.

“These are not suspects, they’re just people we would like to speak with,” Padgett said.

Foxx, whose real name is Stephanie Calhoun, was a popular afternoon DJ at V-103 until the station fired her after a 2004 DUI arrest. She pleaded guilty to the charge in 2005, and was re-hired by V-103 in 2007.

She was fired by the station again last November.

Three years ago, Foxx’s home in the upscale Regency neighborhood off Campbellton Road in south Fulton was destroyed by a fire that investigators later determined may have been caused by an unattended candle.

Padgett asked that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Matthews or Foxx call his office at 404-612-8907

Rick Ross' Baby Mother to Write a Tell All Book

So, Rick Ross' baby mother Tiallondra Kemp stopped by ThisIs50.com to talk about her son's father and the new book she has coming out!!!! I guess book deals are the equivilent to reality shows now- open your twat, have a baby by a superstar, write a book and live hip-hop-ily ever after.

Ross and Kemp were just recently in a Miami Courtroom on January 15th for a child support hearing. This child support case has been ongoing since June of 2007 and the rapper and his baby's mother are scheduled to appear back in Miami court again on March 3, 2009 at 8:45am.

The rapper and his BM have a history of domestic violence issues so I can only imagine what this book is going to be about and how juicy things are going to get!!!!!!! She is no saint either. Miami court records show Kemp has been in court for felony charges of battery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and child neglect back in April of 2007.

Elle Duncan Get V-103 Midday Slot

So, the announcement was made that Elle Duncan will now take over the 10-2pm midday spot at V-103. Congrats to Elle. Any promotion is great but I am disappointed with their choice.

Yall may remember that Porsche Foxx was abruptly let go late last year as the midday personality at V-103. Since then, Ramona Debreaux has been filling her shoes. Ramona had previously been the midday personality at Hot 107.9. I think Ramona would've have been a much better permanent V-103 10-2pm personality.

Via NY POST: Faboluos went from "Nothin' to Somethin' " on his last album, but at an Atlanta restaurant, his credit is back to nothing.

The rapper showed up at the hot Eros World Tapas Bar on Saturday with an entourage of more than 20, a source said. They requested "the usual excess of champagne and alcohol, so the manager asked for a credit card to start a tab."

Unfortunately, Fabolous' credit cards were all declined. "By the fifth credit card, the entourage member designated to take care of his tab goes outside," our source said, "only to start a fight with the outside bouncer.

He tripped and fell, hitting his head on the concrete and started bleeding. The manager called an ambulance. But as soon as the entourage member also saw the police, he began running away, blood oozing down his face."

Fabolous and his posse stayed and ordered champagne but paid cash. Reps for the restaurant and the rapper declined to comment.

Via MSNBC: CHICAGO - The company that made Beanie Babies a top toy craze is hoping for another winner with dolls named “Sweet Sasha” and “Marvelous Malia.”

Now where have we heard those names before?

Ty Inc. has released the 12-inch plush dolls as part of the company's “TyGirlz Collection,” introduced in 2007. The Sasha doll has pigtails and wears a white and pink dress with hearts. The Malia doll has a side ponytail and a long-sleeve shirt with capri pants.

The Oak Brook-based company chose the dolls' names because "they are beautiful names," not because of any resemblance to President Obama's daughters, said spokeswoman Tania Lundeen.

“There's nothing on the dolls that refers to the Obama girls,” Lundeen said. “It would not be fair to say they are exact replications of these girls. They are not.”

Public figures have a legal right to control their how their images are used, but Lundeen would not comment on legal issues or if the company's lawyers have become involved with the dolls.

“I'm not an attorney. I can't answer that,” she said.

The dolls have "real doll hair" and the suggested retail price is $9.99, Lundeen said. The dolls were introduced in early January and a limited supply has been shipped to retailers.

So, I went to go see the movie NOTORIOUS this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The movie is definitely a MUST SEE!!! But, at the end of the movie, I found myself asking myself these questions:

1. Why did Lil Biggie write with his left hand and older Biggie write with his right hand? Was Biggie
ambidextrous and we just never knew?

2. Who's idea was it to have the Lil Kim & Biggie sex scene and was all of that necessary?

3. And, thinking of the sex scene, wasn't Biggie tittyballs bigger than the Lil Kim Character?

4. Does anyone ever remember Lil Cease looking as busted as they tried to portray him in the movie?

5. Did Diddy actually APPROVE of them letting Derek Luke portray him as the dancing, talking too damn much clown he really is?!?!

6. Was the Faith character REALLY singing? And, if so, where is her record deal?

7. Am I the only one not impressed with the 2Pac character they cast? HORRID CHOICE- wasn't at all convinced by him, Lil Kim or Lil Cease

8. Where was Charli Baltimore at in the movie? She was a major point in Big's life, wasn't she?

9. Who is the FINE DUDE that played Biggie's dad?!?!? WHEW!!!!

10. Why didn't they play "One More Chance" during the whole movie, or re-enact that video?!?!? That is arguably the hottest song and/or video in hip-hop history- IMO!!!

** Bonus Question- WHY must people bring their toddlers and babies to see a rated R movie showing at night?!?!!? There were a few kids at the 9:15pm showing at Phipps this weekend and it almost ruined the whole movie, but the parents took the kids out of the theater when they started crying!!!!

Also, I'm not impressed that there was another ticket handler checking tickets right before you could get to the Notorious movie- which happened to be the last theater screen on the right. Why must Phipps treat "US" so bad?!?!

Tiny's Got New Teeth?

First off, let me start by saying I apologize for the lack of updates. I have been aking a break from the blog to do things like relax and live my life!!!! LOL!!!!!! But, anyway, hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Though I haven't been updating my own site, I have been reading others and I am starting to see one real common denominator for the majority of our black celebrites- NEW GRILLS!!!!!

While watching Bobby V's "Beep Beep" video the other day I said "hmmmmm, Bobby looks like he got new teeth". Even when Brandy was doing her "Access Granted" I said to myself "Brandy's got new teeth but her teeth were so pretty before". So, now whenever I see a celeb flash I smile, I IMMEDIATELY look really close at their teeth, like I did when I saw this flick right here over at Necole Bitchie's site..........

Ti & Tiny made an appearance, sort of, at Rocko's surprise birthday party (click here for all the juice on that). First off, it's kind of hard to throw a surprise party in Atlanta. Reason being that once word gets out, IT'S OUT!!!!!! My homegirl and I were in Lenox Mall on Saturday and we saw Rocko in passing as we were walking out of one of the stores. Like a gentleman, he spoke and said "what's up" and kept it moving. Earlier in the day, a blog buddy of mine had mentioned the party and said "Rocko is having a party at Straits"- not Monica is throwing Rocko a surprise party. Luckily, I didn't realize it was him at first because I would've stopped him and asked about the party...... SURPRISE RUINED!!! LOL!!!!

Anyway, back to the whole point of this post. Tiny got new teeth. Tiny also got a re-up on her lip injections as well. It just baffles me how she is getting all this work done on areas that she doesn't need it but she keeps skipping over the cosmetic work that CLEARLY needs to be done............ So, I decided to look through his myspace album and lookey at what I found!!!!!!

Part II of The Urban Girl's Fly Guide to Surviving the Recession is a follow-up to Part I. No pedicure is complete without a fresh manicure. Manicures aren't always the best do-it-yourself ideas, though. I usually can't get my nails filed just right and all even. So, what's the recession fix to the perfect manicure- SPA SCHOOLS!!!!

When you go into a nail salon, do you know if the person just graduated cosmetology school or if they are a seasoned nail tech? Most of us don't. We sign our name, wait to be called next, and put the care of our hands into the person across the table from us. The thing I like about spa/ cosmetology schools is that the students are working to perfect their craft so they will pay much closer attention that a seasoned tech that has become relaxed in their technique. I also believe the spa schools are much more sanitary than regular nail salons. Most manicures at spa schools are between $5-$15, depending on the service you select and the area you live in.

I know some of us are still rocking the acrylic nails. Personally, I love my natural nails so I think the recession is also the perfect excuse to rid the acrylics and go au naturale!!!! If you can ditch the acrylics, the spa schools also offer this sevice at a fraction of the cost of the regular nail salon!!!!! While there, check out their other spa services and treat yourself to a nice facial or body scrub!!!!!!

Sorry, I have been neglecting my blog for the past couple weeks. The end of the years is always a difficult time for me because I spend it reflecting on the past 11 months and looking forward to the possibilities of the next year. And, if you had any idea how eventful my life always is, you would understand just how time consuming that can be!!!! LOL!!!!

What I will be doing from now until the end of the year is putting together "The Urban Girl's Fly Guide to Surviving the Recession". Right now, ladies, we have to be extremely cautious with our spending habits. Some of our luxuries have to be set aside because it's definitely NOT FLY to be cute and broke! So, what I will do is compile some inexpensive ways to stay fly and fabulous while not breaking the bank!!!!

First up- Helping your feet survive the recession!!!! Most grown women get pedicures throughout the entire year. During this recession, ladies may find it easier to skip the pedi during the cold winter months when our tootsies are usually covered up. What we CAN'T do is just let our feet go completely!!!!

My BFF texted me early last week and said "Girl you have to get the Ped Egg". Now, I have always seen this item on info-mercials and in the stores but I never thought it worked. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Last night, I stopped in my local CVS and invested $10 into this Ped-Egg. Right now, I feel like I am walking on air!!! This is the best $10 I have spent in a loooonnnngggg time :-)

I also used the Oil of Olay Thermal Pedicure, which I purchased on clearance at K-Mart for $2.99 a month ago so my feet feel better than any pedicure I have ever paid for. The thermal Pedicure has little beads in it so, when you rub it on your feet under water, it heats up and feels amazing!!! My new nighttime ritual is use my ped-egg, soak my feet in warm water while scrubbing them gently with the Thermal Pedicure, rub them down with my Sesame Oil, and then put on my thick booties!!!

The best holiday gift ideas don't always have to cost alot of money. Not only will the Ped-Egg be a great investment for yourself, but also consider giving it as a gift to a friend or family member. Purchase an inexpensive basket from your local Jo-Ann Fabric''s or Michaels. Go to Target or Dollar Tree and buy some nail files, nail clippers, thick booties/socks, and french manicure colored nail polish (the E.L.F. manicure set shown above is $3.00 a Target). Also purchase a cute glass jar or bottle. Right now, the Kroger in my area has their Sesame After Shower Oil on sale for under $3.00. Purchase the oil and then transfer it into the bottle you purchased form Dollar Tree. In the basket include the Ped-Egg, the Oil of Olay Thermal Pedicure, the Sesame Oil Bottle, and the nail care items. Dollar Tree also has the plastic wrap so you can wrap your basket. Take a blow dryer and blow dry the plastic to give it the smooth, store brought look.

All together you may spend $25- which is about the same cost as a pedicure and these items will last alot longer!!!

So RHoA has ended but that doesn't mean the ladies have lost any of their mini-celebrity status. Folks are still talking about RHoA. Most recently, the topic of conversation has been about Nene Leakes getting evicted from her Duluth Mc-Mansion.

Nene spoke to the AJC and made many comments about how her name isn't on the eviction and blah blah blah. She also made claims about how we don't even know about her and Greg's relationship. Whatever, Nene. Could the reasoon that your name isn't on the house/eviction is because you had an eviction back in 2003 that could have an adverse affect on your credit had it not been paid yet? Come on now, it's a recession and we are all going through it. Why not just be honest? Oh, well. She's still my #2 fave housewife!

V-103's Porsche Foxx Fired, Again

Via AJC.com: Porsche Foxx is gone from V-103 —- again.

Details are sketchy. Program director Reggie Rouse sent an e-mail Wednesday informing staff about Foxx’s departure, and she was taken off the list of DJs on the V-103 Web site. Her second stint at V-103 as midday host lasted just over 16 months.

Foxx was a popular afternoon jock at V-103 until the station fired her after a very public DUI arrest in late 2004. She pleaded guilty to the charge in summer 2005, receiving community service, probation and a stint in alcohol rehab. Rick Caffey, general manager at V-103, last year said he rehired her because he felt she had earned a second shot.

“It was successful, very enlightening, very educational, ” Foxx told the AJC about her rehab in July 2007. “I’m not afraid to talk about it.”

Foxx —- whose real name is Stephanie Calhoun —- and her bosses couldn’t be reached for comment.

I hope Ramona Debreaux, who has been filling in for Porsche this week, will take over the position permanently. Flipping between Ramona and 107.9's mid-day diva Rashan Ali during my 10am-2pm weekdays has been music to my ears!!! These 2 ladies BOTH brighten up radio on eachof their respective stations. It's sad to see Porche Foxx go but her show was so poorly produced that I won't miss much....

So, last night on the Real Housewives Reunion, it was officially going DOWN!!!!! From the beginning to the end, the show was filled with DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA!!!! Anyway, I have STAN'd for Kim all season long and last night was no different. Everyone wanted to gang up on her and, honestly, I wasn't surprised. I went to a majority black middle school and my BFF was white. Everyone would always gang up on the white girl thinking she would say anything back!!! Well, then and now, folks were proven wrong. Kim was getting right back with NeNe!!!! She even told NeNe "Back your ass up" and called her a "Bitch"!!!! Now, I was a little mad at Kim and her "fake cancer" but that is still my favorite housewife!!! I do hope Kim gets a better hair-piece..................

Deshawn's non-existent ass isn't even worth more than a couple sentences. Her part of the show and reunion was boring, bland, and I hope she opts out for next season. She is a NBA wife with guaranteed money and it's obvious she thinks she is better than all the other girls.

Next up, Sheree. She was pretty quiet last night. I think her true personality showed last night more than any of the other shows. Her sweater dress was fab, make-up was flawless, and she kept it real grown-woman through the entire evening.

Nene. What can we say about Nene. She came ready to snatch a hoe outta her Dior pumps last night!!!! I wish she wouldn't have seemed to have such a chip onher shoulder. Her demeanor was real uncomfortable last night. I really hope she and Kim squash their beef and reconcile their friendship. At least for the sake of Brielle, Kim's daughter. Kim and Nene seemed like the perfect friends during the beginning of the show. They balance each other out and it's sad if this show has taken that from them.
I think Kim lost out the most. She lost Big Poppa, she lost a friend, and her reputation was a little smeared. She is my favorite so I felt bad for her. You can tell she is really hurting from the break-up of her friendship with Nene.

Now Lisa!!! Lisa, throughout the show, was portrayed as the "sweet, hard working hustler". In the course of an hour last night, Lisa went from someone who's hustle and personality I admired to my LEAST FAVORITE housewife. I dislike her more than Sheree. Bravo did one hell of a job editing Lisa to be the nice one when she is obviously the main BITCH!!!!!!! I even said last night on my twitter that Lisa tries so hard to be an "alpha Female" when she is really just a "BETA-BITCH"!!! She was so up Nene's ass it wasn't even funny. She knows she is the one that went back and told about Nene singing about Kim in the car. That bish is 2-faced and Nene needs to watch her back if her and Lisa really are now friends.

Dwight Eubanks is just too much for words. I can't wait for him to get his own show. His yaki mane was HELLA FIRE last night. That DIVO is beyond fabulous and puts any and every other gay husband to shame!!!!!

Beyonce and the legendary diva Ms. Etta James were spotted in Hollywood last night at the premiere of "Cadillac Records". Ms James looks alot like Tina Knowles at first glance.

Bey and Etta exchanged "Hollywood Kisses" on the red carpet. Ms James left a little Mama Tina red lipstick on Bey's cheek!!!!

I see Mama Tina decided to darken her tresses and lighten her lips. She looks wonderful here!!!

2008 Dirty Awards

The Radio One 2008 Dirty Awards went down last night in the ATL!!! As you can see, Monica showed up and showed out, as usual. Love the hair even more than the 1st time we saw it.

I hope we can retire these stupid chains in 2009!!!

Shawty Lo hit the red carpet before going inside of the awards and acting "Foolish"!! According to some of the folks I follow on Twitter (thanks to the heads up from ATLien), Shawty Lo hit the stage and started rapping about T.I.!!! I don't know what exactly went down but talk of folks getting hit up side the head with bottles and PSC's Kuntry King getting wrestled by police is the report I was getting from the live twits!!! Everyone seemed to all agree that Shawty Lo instigated the entire ordeal. I guess the crowd got maced and the Dirty Awards models were seen backstage trying to get the mace out of their eyes!!!

2 thumbs up to Shawty Lo for getting his name back in the news, by any means necessary. Still riding T.I.'s coattails I see. I hope while he was starting ish at the awards, his staff was in Bankhead getting turkeys and food together to pass out fot the holidays. Funny how when we hear Shawty Lo it's drama but when we hear T.I., it's usually something positive or business related. Someone OBVIOUSLY needs more positive people!

The REAL "Trap or Die"

A guy friend of mine called the other day and told me the "shocking" news that he had a baby on the way. Unfortunately, I wasn't surprised. This wasn't the first time my friend had called me with this same news. I had told him before that he couldn't depend on his chick to take her birth control daily like she told him she was. The conversation ended quickly when I told him that this situation was just as much his fault as it was hers.

My homegirl calls this "The Real Trap or Die". When a woman thinks the only way she can keep a man in her life is to "trap" him with a baby. Men fall for this trick all the time but then act "surprised" when they get the "I'm pregnant" phone call. There are also those women that see a man as a financial gain so they "trap" his pockets by having a child support baby. Once again, the men act surprised and want to blame the woman when they had just as much responsibility in the situation as she did.

So men, how can you keep yourself from becoming a "Trap or Die"? Here are a few ways you can help to insure the only babies you create are on purpose!!!!

Condoms- DUH!!! Make sure you wear a condom but, more importantly, make sure the condom you wear FITS!!!! Magnums aren't for everyone. If you don't fit the magnum, don't feel bad. Just turn the lights off before you open up your LifeStyles package. Trust me, just because you open the gold pack doesn't mean we, as women, don't know that you aren't the correct size for it. If you can fold over excess latex after you put on a Magnum, switch brands. This is important because if the condom is too big, it can easily slip off and you can possibly get "trapped". Also, if you are large, make sure you carry your own condom brand that you know fits you right. This is important because if the condom is too small (and or the poo-nanny is dry) the condom will break and you could possibly get "trapped".

Speaking of men bringing your own condoms, you should ALWAYS carry your own protection. This not only insures that the condoms aren't expired but it also insures thst no holes are poked into the packaging.

Next up for my brothers that don't wear condoms, for whatever reason. Whether it's because this is your "main chick" and you don't feel like you have to strap up, or because it "doesn't feel the same", or maybe a condom isn't available and you just don't have the self control to STOP- invest spermicide!!!! Make the insertion of the spermicide part of the foreplay. Spermicide is supposed to kill the sperm so, if it is properly inserted inside the va-jay-jay, the possibilty of the sperm fertilizing the egg is lessened. No fertilization= no "trapping"!!!

If spermicide isn't your thing, try using female condoms!!! I have never used these but I have heard from both men and women that it feels very close to bare-back! Men, you have the freedom of not having your "johnson" choked up in a condom and women, you have the freedom of the natural feeling without worrying about getting pregnant.

Another tip for men to prevent "trappage" is, when the deal is done, make sure you flush the condom yourself!!!! The "turkey basting method" is alive and well in 2008. Don't be too lazy or too triflin to simply get up and flush the condom. Don't allow the woman to take it off and flush it for you or don't just let it lay on the floor. Do your duty and flush your boys!!!!

All of this may seem like a bit much but just imagine how you will feel when you get "that call" and now you are attached to this woman for the rest of your life physically and financially!!! I don't believe in the whole "18 years" theory. I still call my mother to this day. You are never done raising your children and good parents, even if they aren't together, still communicate for the sake of the kids. If you don't want a woman in your life for the rest of your life, take an extra 5 minutes to do your part to prevent the pregnancy!!!

ESSENCE.COM: Well, let's end it here. How is your relationship with Lisa's sons, Justin and Jordan?

HARTWELL: Me and my sons have a great relationship. I tell everyone I have three sons. They call me dad; I never say my stepkids, they are my sons. Every kid is different but they are both wonderful children. My eldest son is about to turn 14 and I have conversations with him that I can't have with Justin. Jordan wants to train, so now we're both training.

ESSENCE.COM; That's great that you're involved in their lives. Do you have a good relationship with their father, Keith Sweat?

HARTWELL: Not at all. The reason is because [when I started dating] Lisa there was a lot that I had to stop from happening. I had to lay down the law, man to man. Have I tried to work out some things and put our differences to the side for the sake of the kids? Absolutely. I don't like to play games.

Anyway, read the Essence.com article to see exactly what Kim has to say about her life since Real Housewives of Atlanta has become such a hit!!! She is still MY FAVE!!!!

ESSENCE.COM: How is the music career going?

KIM ZOLCIAK: My first song, "Tight Rope," will be out the first week in January, but I'm not sure when the album will be coming out. [Dallas Austin] wrote and produced it. He originally sent me three but I fell in love with the beat and lyrics. The song is about walking a tight rope with somebody. It [speaks] to my personal life and my relationship and just life in general. It definitely applies to my life, but after seeing that footage on the show where it looks like I can't sing! I guess it makes for good television but it looked awful to me. People will just have to wait for my album to see the deal.

ESSENCE.COM: Speaking of your relationship, there are tons of rumors out there that your fiancé, otherwise known as Big Poppa, is married. Care to clarify?

ZOLCIAK: He is legally married. He has been going through a divorce for years. I've seen all these crazy names of who he is on the Internet, like Quincy Jones, Ted Turner, and even Dallas. He's like Sheree, who has been trying to get a divorce for years, but she's dating so it's that kind of thing.

ESSENCE.COM: Are you guys still going strong?ZOLCIAK: No, it's officially over. I called off my engagement and I'm officially single. People have speculated that it's this Lee guy (Lee Najjar) to Quincy Jones to David Foster to Dallas Austin. It's just unbelievable. Big Poppa has been my best friend for three years and I think he's a great person but I need to go find Kim and what makes Kim happy and chase my dreams. I want someone who is supportive of me and my dreams and not add tension to my life. I want to focus on my children, finish my album and not worry about what makes everyone else happy.

ESSENCE.COM: What projects do you have coming up after the show?

ZOLCIAK: I'm in talks to be on the cover of Playboy and possibly on the cover of Maxim. I'm very excited. A lot of people were like I wish you would do Playboy so I'm working on that. I didn't want to be just a centerfold girl. I wanted to be the cover!

ESSENCE.COM: It seems like you and NeNe may never be friends again. Have things gotten better between you two?

ZOLCIAK: No. We are definitely not friends. You know she really hurt my feelings singing that song about me in the limo. Although it is fun and entertaining, it was still at my expense. Lisa was the one who told me that NeNe has sang that song about me. Sheree had told me but Sheree wasn't there in the car. I found out about NeNe singing about me about a month after we started filming so I knew even before I started becoming friends with Sheree. People are looking at this footage and thinking I turned my back on NeNe and became best friends with Sheree. Lisa is the one who told me the whole thing. I was just devastated. I was loyal to NeNe and a good friend. Plus, Lisa is running around saying she didn't say anything but that's how I found out. DeShawn is not into gossip. She's sweet and I really like her. She's just this even-keeled person. Lisa is still trying to deny that she told me, but I have phone records that prove that I spoke to her. She's been saying, oh, I never talked to you that day and I was like, damn, bitch, here's the phone record. This whole deal is nothing but drama.

ESSENCE.COM: So we're guessing there's no way you and NeNe can get past this.

ZOLCIAK: NeNe is funny, entertaining, and was a good friend but watching the footage again reopened old wounds. She has to understand that I'm really sensitive, and whether it was in good fun or not, it still bothered me. The biggest problem between NeNe and me is a lack of communication and the fact that everyone is running their mouth.

ESSENCE.COM: So what's up between you and Lisa? Did you call her a "crack whore"?

ZOLCIAK: Everything was blown out of proportion. There are so many rumors and just gossip out there. I thought this was over with but as far as I am concerned, Lisa is a great girl. I did read Lisa's story on

ESSENCE.com and I think at the end of the day, I could certainly run my own mouth but I choose to take the high road. I read a Google alert out loud and there were tons of stuff written about all of us, not just Lisa. I was reading a blog. I would never speak that way of anybody especially one of my costars. I'm a mother and I would never speak that way. Whoever relayed the message to Lisa didn't give her the whole story. It was no big deal. I was reading it verbatim in the blog thinking, This is crazy. It wasn't directed to anyone else.

ESSENCE.COM: Are you still close friends with Sheree?

ZOLCIAK: We're very close. She's easy to get along with and our kids get along great. I think her image on the show and the way she's portrayed is totally inaccurate. Is she totally confident? Yes. Does she like to shop? Absolutely. But I think she comes off as a diva more than she actually is.

ESSENCE.COM: You once said that you see yourself as a Black girl in a White girl's body. What makes you feel like you identify with Black women?

ZOLCIAK: I had entirely too much wine that day in my interview. I just don't see color and I never have because it doesn't matter to me. People always say, "You sure your dad's not Black?"- because I got a pretty round booty. Other than that, 50 percent of my girlfriends are Black. It's not that I can relate to one more than the other. That's just my life and that's who I am surrounded by mostly and it works for me.

I was looking for music that was hot back in 1998 and came across this great article on RapIndustry.com I guess I never realized just how BIG 1998 was in the hip[-hop industry. I was just a high school teenager living in the moment and using my money from my $4.75 an hour after-school job to buy the records.

1998 was the year that took Jay-Z and made him mainstream with the release of "Hard Knock Life". Lauryn Hill was "The Queen" of female hip-hop artists with "The Mis-Education of Lauryn Hill". Big Pun held it down for the Latino community and DMX took it us to the gritty, hardcore streets with his blazing anthems and hard hitting tracks, produced by Swizz Beatz. And we can't forget about Master P, Cash Money and Juvenile, and Outkast.

And, will there ever be a concert as hot as the "Hard Knock Life" Tour?!?!?!? Please sit back and reminise with me on the best year ever in hip-hop.....................

No “Yeaaaaaaaahs” from Jeezy. 1998 was a year after Biggie was gunned down and two years after ‘Pac. 1998 was a year before the Chronic 2001 and before Eminem and his Slim Shady soldiers ambushed the market. 1998 was ten years ago and a lot has changed in hip hop since then. Not only is ‘98 exactly ten years ago but it was also a fond year for me because it was the first year that I began become a “cd freak” as my girlfriend calls me. Personally, it’s been a lot of great cds and some good years in hip-hop since then, but I think ‘98 was the last great year.

Need support for this statement? The Class of ‘98 in itself was as thorough as they come. Not since the class of ‘94 had hip-hop seen so many stars drop debut albums in the same year. 1994 saw the debuts of Biggie, Outkast, Nas, and Snoop Dogg. In 1998 Hip Hop witnessed the debuts of DMX, Canibus, Big Pun, Noreaga and Cam’ron. DMX brought the gritty, no-holds barred street sound back to hip-hop which had been wearing thin since Puffy and his shiny suit season took over in ‘97. Canibus was the prince of the mixtapes and the cameo king long before today’s artists like Papoose and Saigon could lay claim to the throne. Canibus dropped a lackluster debut, with Can-I-bus, but his cameos on albums with artists such as Lost Boyz, LL Cool J, Common, and The Firm were unforgettable. Big Pun was the first Latin to go platinum off the strength of radio play like “Still Not a Player” and “You Came Up“, but his album was also the sickest of the year lyrically. Noreaga’s N.O.R.E. helped put the Neptunes on the map with “Superthug” and his album also did well with street bangers such as “N.O.R.E. “and “Banned From TV” . Cam also put out a stellar album for the streets with Confessions of Fire and his DipSet following is still strong to this day. There were undoubtedly others who dropped albums that year but these five were everywhere and were a prominent influence in the culture during the year.

Also, in the wake of deaths of Hip hop’s “Malcolm and Martin” Jay-Z took the throne as the King of New York and the man in the forefront of hip hop’s explosion to the mainstream. Sure, hip hop was big before, but after Hard Knock Life dropped Jay-Z along with the rest of the culture became HUGE. Before Hard Knock Life, Hova produced the classic Reasonable Doubt and the stellar In My Lifetime Vol. 1, but HKL was the album that really set him on fire as MTV, BET, and radio kept songs such as “Hard Knock Life,” “Can I Get a What“, and “Money Cash Hoes,” were in constant rotation.

However, not only was New York rap doing it big in ‘98, but the South was uprising too. Outkast went from superstars to legends when they dropped their five-mic critically acclaimed album, Aquemeni in ‘98. Aquemeni was an important album because it was the first five-mic album from The Source in a loooong while and it proved that Southern rap could earn respect too. Singles such as “Rosa Parks“, “Skew-It on the Barb-b” featuring Raekwon(one of the first North-South collaborations in the genre) lit the radio on fire and songs such as “Liberation” and “Aquemeni”sparked our soul. Juvenile of Cash Money Records fame also blew up all over the map when he dropped his album 400 Degreez and his lead single “Ha” had the whole country talking like Juvie. Master P and his No Limit soldiers were a BIG part of ‘98 as well. Silkk the Shocker, Mystikal, and ‘P were everywhere as Southern rap started its takeover of the industry with the No Limit gold tank leading the way.

Soundscan sales were also great across the genre as all aforementioned artists such as Jay-Z, Juvenile, DMX, Big Pun, Outkast and others all went platinum or multi. Digital downloading wasn’t so big in this year and this was a time long ago when people actually went out to the store and purchased cds. Actually, many hip hop purists argue that fans shouldn’t care about Soundscan figures or sales. I agree, but you can’t help but have a Kool-aid grin on your face when one of your favorite artists releases an album of quality music and it sells a lot .

Lauryn Hill was one of these such artists undeniably the Queen of 1998, as The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill set the world on fire selling over five million copies. Her album was so damn good that its singles rode into ‘99 and she constantly shared radio and TV time with her male counterparts. Hill even won a Grammy for Album of Year which was unprecedented for a hip-hop album, and truly she was a female artist who had something to talk about and did it very well.

Also, 1998 was a year when “backpackers” could be happy too. Gangstarr’s Moment of Truth was a stellar record, and Guru and DJ Premier further cemented their name as New York Legends. Mos Def and Talib Kweli released their Black Star album which is a timeless classic. Backpackers could also shed a tear as A Tribe Called Quest released The Love Movement which was their last album as a group. Although this album wasn’t necessarily as good as The Low End Theory or Midnight Marauders, it was still quality music, and is still better then most of the stuff that comes out today. Speaking of which, the aforementioned Hard Knock Life, Aquemeni, The Love Movement, and The Miseducation…. were all released not only in the same year, but the same month! This truly gave tight pocketed listeners a dilemma at the record store.

Please forgive me for being so nostalgic over ‘98 but since then I can’t think of a year that set the world on fire. Sure we’ve had great rappers here and there who’ve been forces artistically and commercially (Eminem, 50 Cent, Kanye) but not all debuting in the same year like the class of ’98. Also, I personally believe only a handful of truly classic albums have appeared since ‘98 (The Blueprint, Stillmatic, The Chronic, College Dropout, etc.). I’m not talking about albums that are “hot“, or albums that sell a lot of copies but albums such as Moment of Truth and Capital Punishment; are albums every hip-hop head must have and should be embarrassed to say that they don’t. Songs such as “Get At Me Dog “are songs that people can still talk about, play, and remember. Very rarely do songs come out nowadays that have that same effect.

Also ‘98 was a year when “lyrical” records could hit the radio and be successful. The dexterous flow of Big Pun (dead in the middle of Italy...) teamed with the gritty Fat Joe was displayed on “Deep Cover” and songs such as the rapid fire flow of “Jigga What” and Black Star’s “Definition” were radio mainstays. Songs like these rarely hit the radio nowadays as catchy hooks and club-ready beats dominate the radio.
For the most part women are endangered from the game nowadays, but back in ‘98 Lauryn Hill was Queen of the Universe and Lil Kim, Foxy, Missy, and Da Brat were always consistent.

In 2008, whole ten years later, hopefully hip hop music can return to a year like we had in ‘98. A lot of people are saying hip hop has died, and the South, waning sales, poor records etc. are at fault. However, ‘98 was a year when our music was all over the map and gritty street bangers and hip hop pop records were the rage. People actually bought records and everything was peachy keen. When will we return to such an era?

"I'm there. I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready," a giddy Beyonce said in an interview the day after Barack Obama made history in becoming the nation's first elected black president.

The singer couldn't stop beaming after Obama's win over Republican John McCain on Tuesday. In fact, she was so inspired, she wore a blue suit and tie in honor of Obama — with stiletto heels that were red, white and blue.

"I've never been so patriotic!" she laughed. "I'm just beyond excited."

Beyonce was supposed to be in Japan on Election Night to promote her upcoming album, "I Am ... Sasha Fierce," but decided to postpone it at the last minute.

"I said, 'What am I doing? I'm completely making a bad decision. I have to go home, I'm gonna kill myself if I'm not home in America,'" she said. "I knew I needed to be here."

T.I., who was in Los Angeles shooting a movie, “had the pleasure and the honor of being at Will Smith’s house on election night. If I couldn’t be at home with my kids to experience this perfect moment, that was a nice substitute… Will introduced me to a guy who was from Mozambique, who he met when he was doing ‘Ali’. Since then, that guy had moved to America and just became an official citizen. So the first time he was able to vote, it was for a black man running for president of the United States. I thought that was an outstanding story.

“I’ll tell you one more: This morning I called my kids and my eight-year-old said ‘Did you know only two people voted for McCain in Tennessee?’ I said, ‘That’s not true son. I think McCain actually won Tennessee. But I appreciate your attentiveness to this very important matter’. I thank everyone who made it their business and an extreme priority to get out there and fulfill their civic duty. And I appreciate being able to encourage and inspire people to do so.”

“It took me back to when I was in the second grade. I remember when the teacher said to us, ‘You know, everybody in this class room should have goals. You can be president if you want to be. Who wants to be president?’ Everybody in the room raised their hand except me. Atlanta’s five-time Grammy winner was in the nation’s capitol election night for his concert tour. “When I got off stage last night, and they told me he won, I just began to thank God for this reality, and opportunity. Now what we do with it as Americans, that’s the real difference, the real change I am so looking forward to.”

Usher joined Obama at numerous campaign rallies and his New Look Foundation also launched an “I Can’t But You Can” student-led voter registration drive. “I’m very proud to be an American. Proud to be an African-American. I mean, we came to this country as slaves and were treated as such for so long â€” long after we were supposedly ‘freed.’ The segregation that plagued our country, a lot of us suffer from it to this day. But it still speaks volumes about this country, about Barack Obama, that this could happen. … It’s like the completion of a story. “And you know, someone said something really profound to me this morning: ‘Rosa Parks sat so Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. could march so Barack Obama could run so we could fly!’"

As his business partners were having an election party in his Midtown restaurant Straits, Atlanta rapper-actor Ludacris was in St. Louis on a promotional tour for his new CD. “The first thing I did when the election was called for Barack was call my mother, and I thanked her for the sacrifices she made for me to witness this day. There’s a whole new confidence, a whole new hope and just endless possibilities. Now I can tell my daughter she can be the president — and she can see that it’s so.”

Ciara, R&B singer

The 23-year-old spent election night going back and forth from inside an Atlanta rehearsal studio to the hallway to check the results. “Finally, when rehearsals were over I just sat in the lobby area where the TVs are and watched the speeches. Just took it all in.

“I’ve just been feeling this sense of pride, like for days now,” she said. “Not just because of the history of the first black president — but because I just believe he will be a great president. Black people didn’t just vote for him, all ethnicities did. And I think that’s because Barack Obama sees us all as one. All Americans.

“I didn’t cry last night when I was watching his speech, but when I was driving here to rehearsal today, they were playing it on the radio with [contemporary gospel singer] Marvin Sapp’s ‘Never Would Have Made It’ underneath, and I just started boo-hooing.”

Bow Wow, rapper-actor

Having led the recent, nonpartisan, Walk Across America voter registration campaign at colleges across the country, Bow Wow earned the right to kick up his feet and watch CNN in his condo all day. “Last night though, I was in the studio with Jermaine [Dupri], and I kept asking him what was going with the results, and he wouldn’t say. He was being real cautious. Like he might jinx Barack. I knew he had it though, and when I finally went outside and found out, I just started yelling like my fans do when they see me. I couldn’t believe it. Then I sat down, and I really almost ” almost ” got choked up. To be a young black man, and know that so many other young black men don’t have a lot of hope ” that’s hope right there! Right on our TV screens. It doesn’t get any bigger or better than that. I found myself saying, ‘a black man is president’ like 30 times. Over and over. Feels good saying it.”
