For just over three minutes on Saturday morning, TV talk show host Montel Williams owned the hosts of Fox and Friends. A former Marine and Naval officer, Montel lectured the stunned hosts on the stupidity of spending air time on the death of Heath Ledger, rather than covering the war in Iraq. It was a spectacle rarely seen on live cable television, as Montel exposed and condemned both tabloid "news" shows and much of American culture for what they have each become: shallow and greedy.
Three minutes into this awkward segment on Fox, one host cut off Montel in order to go to a commercial. Montel did not return after the break. Four days later, after 17 years as a television host, Montel lost his job.

WHY?

That is the only question I have for this ish right here- WHY????? This has OFFICIALLY RUINED my love for this car. Now, I will just dream about the coupe.............

40 Year Old Impregnates Girlfriend's 10 Year Old Daughter

From the Cincinnati Enquirer: The baby's birth at University Hospital on Nov. 4 was routine.What wasn't routine was the fact that the infant's mother was just 10 at the time, impregnated by her mother's boyfriend.Now, social workers are trying to figure out how to unravel the mess involving one of the youngest children ever to give birth in Greater Cincinnati.

Prosecutors were in court Wednesday to discuss what to do with both children, the newborn and her now 11-year-old mom.The court session in Hamilton County Dependency Court on Wednesday was primarily a status session on how the baby and young mother are doing.At the same time, Lockland police were in Columbus talking to a convict whose DNA shows he's the baby girl's father.

Michael Chaffer, 40, is accused of impregnating his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter, according to Hamilton County prosecutors.The baby's birth set off an investigation by the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services and stunned social workers because the baby's mother is so young.The baby has been taken from her mother and put in a foster home while the mother is now being taken care of by a relative. Her mother is not allowed to see the baby and can only see her daughter when supervised by social workers.

Lawyers jammed the courtroom Wednesday, representing the prosecutor's office and three generations of the family.Authorities became aware of the birth after the girl, now 11, delivered the baby at University Hospital. Hospital officials notified JFS because the mother was so young.The girl and the infant were allowed to remain in the mother's home while JFS investigated the case.As JFS investigated, several relatives of the girl contacted the agency saying Chaffer sexually abused the girl for a "period of time."

The girl's mother was warned not to let any adult men in her Lockland home while caseworkers tried to track down the infant's father.Prosecutors say the girl's mother ignored that order, and when a caseworker made a surprise visit to her Lockland home Jan. 4, they found Chaffer.Two other men were eliminated as the baby's father before Chaffer's DNA was tested.Paternity was not determined until Wednesday morning.

Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Lee Slocum said Chaffer faces criminal charges for impregnating and sexually molesting a girl under the age of 13. Lockland Police Chief James Toles said two officers were interviewing Chaffer on Wednesday in a Columbus prison, where he is serving a one-year sentence on an unrelated charge.Sex with a child under 13 is considered statutory rape, a crime punishable with a life prison term.The 11-year-old girl's mother is also under investigation, Slocum said, for allowing her daughter to be abused.

Job and Family Services workers can't remember a case in which a girl so young gave birth."Unfortunately, sexual abuse is pretty common in the cases we see," said JFS Director Moira Weir. "But it is highly unusual and extremely sad to see a case where a 10-year-old becomes pregnant. Read On

Back in October at Howard's Homecoming, we saw Janelle rock this same black and white jacket and in August at ATL New Era Flagship store, she switched up the top but her shoes remained!!!!!!! So you can imagine my astonishment when I was site-seeing over at Concreteloop today and saw THE SAME HOWARD HOMECOMING OUTFIT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! Janelle was performing at something with some other people, I didn't even care enough to pay that much attention. Clearly, SHE NEEDS MORE CLOTHES!!!!!!!

Hey, girl!!!!! Just thought I would let you know how the little so-called prince's of the industry treated their fans yesterday.

So Bow Wow, Chris Brown, and Souljah Boy had a concert here in Columbus, Ohio last night and once again Bow Wow showed the city NO LOVE. He and Chris were supposed to do a meet and greet and NEVER SHOWED UP!!!! Parents were calling in the radio
station upset because their daughters were mad because the didn't get to
meet the mega-stars! To make matters worse Bow Wow didn't even come to the radio
station to support his fans in his own home town. They were saying that
they play his music all the time and show him support and he couldn't do
the same for OHIO.

And how about Souljah Boy was supposed to be on channel 6 at
noon to show them his dance and his people called at 1:20pm and said he
wasn't going to be able to make it.

Oh and Chris and Bow Wow couldn't do the meet
and greet but they showed up at Club ICE and stayed for an hour and
posed for pictures.... but they couldn't meet there little fans... Bow Wow wears that jacket and shirts that say "614" acting like he reps for Columbus and the 614 area code but his actions show different. He claims to be the Prince of Ohio but he acted more like a joker last night!!!!!! ~Your 614 Homegirl

For those of yall that don't know, Club Ice is a 21 and over club in Columbus. So I guess these boys can take the hard earned money of parents who bought tickets for their little girls to go to the concert but they can't even show up to sign some autographs or take pictures with them. But they can take their hot asses to a nightclub to get groupie love from women who most likely don't have either one of their cd's!!!!!!!!!! And they wonder why their album sales are constantly dropping?!?!?! Despite his lack of respect for his little fans, Bow Wow had this to say during his performance:

Calvin: Your song "Leaving You (Big Ol' D)" is about the size of a man's anatomy. You mention several male artists, including Nelly, Jay-Z, Ludacris and several others. Do you speak from your own personal experience?

Trina: No, no! I was watching videos on BET one day and it was the "Big Ol' Butt" song. Like "Tina got a big ol' butt." That was funny to me because when you look at today's videos and the videos back in the day, it's like wow!?it's a whole different day and time. So the videos are a hundred percent better. I didn't want to do "Big Ol' Butt" because I did "Pull Over" and that's representing the same thing. So I decided, why don't I go "John Doe got a big ol'?," you know? So it wasn't really supposed to be a person's name. It was really supposed to be like blank names like Jimmy, Bob, whoever. But then that was really kind of boring. When we were in the studio, the vibe was really strong. I had my friends and a couple of people in the studio with me and it was like, "Why don't we make it more interesting? Let's use names. Let's be specific!" because everybody is going to be like "wow, did you hear that song?" I decided to use hip-hop males because I'm a hip-hop female. I wrote a list of all the guys that are male rappers and out of that list I was like, to be fair, I'm gonna just go with like the pioneers of the game?the guys that are really holding it down and have really did their thing and that are real strong. That's how I chose to use the names like a Nelly or a Jay-Z, a Ludacris or a Baby and Puffy. All these different names I got them because I feel like they are like the strength of the hip-hop game.


Calvin: Are you concerned that some people will take you literally and assume that you've been with all these men?

Trina: I don't care if they say that because I know that I didn't. I mean we're cool. We're friends. I thought it was just humorous and I just wanted to be creative about it. It wasn't a personal issue or who got the big ol'...whatever. It's just about putting the song together and making it fit with whoever's name that I decided to use. I threw in the extra names on the end to make it even out?like Snoop, Busta Rhymes and just the different guys just to make it be like a balance to the song. When I first did it I was like "ooh" to myself. I was laughing like I don't know if I should keep the names. Then I was like "What the hell. I'm keeping it."

You Know Things Are Getting Bad in TV Land.....................

When Mike Vick's DOGS get a reality show!!!!!!! You heard me correct- The National Geographic Channel is currently filming a new reality show that will follow the rehabilitation of the pit bulls that once belonged to Mike Vick. "Dogtown", the title of the new reality series, will be following 4 of the 22 animals rescued from Vick's Virginia home. They are currently being rehabilitated at "Dogtown, The Best Friends" facility located in Utah. The 4 animals selected are some of the most aggressive and toughest cases in Dogtown, so they say!!!!!! The show will debut in the summer.

I sure hope the revenue that is generated from this show is put into the care and rehab of thses animals and not into the pockets of the greddy reality show hounds in Hollywood. THEY are the real pitbulls. I'm sure whatever money is raised still won't reduce the amount Mike Vick has been ordered to pay to help rehab the dogs. For more info on the series, click HERE!!!!

CHING-A-LING Goes 3-D!!!!!!!

January 30, 2007 (New York, NY) – Five-time Grammy Award winner Missy Elliott has teamed up with longtime visual collaborator Dave Meyers to take the game beyond the next level and into a whole new dimension by creating the first ever 3D music video. The video is for "Ching-A-Ling," a new song which, along with Elliott’s "Shake Your Pom Pom," will appear on both the "STEP UP 2 THE STREETS – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK" (due out February 5th) as well as on Elliott’s forthcoming 7th studio album (due out Spring 2008). "STEP UP 2 THE STREETS – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK" is the musical companion to the upcoming Touchstone Pictures dance film of the same name. The film is slated to open in theatres nationwide on February 14th.


"This is truly historic," says director Dave Meyers. "People have talked about and tried to make it happen before, but no one has ever set out to purposefully create a 3D music video and then actually made it happen. Once again, Missy and I are happily and comfortably in uncharted territory!"

The first first FIRST thing I notice about a man is his teeth. I don't care how fine a man is, if his grill is jacked up, he gets NO LOVE FROM ME!!!!!! Now, T-Pain is no where near fine but it still bothers me that this brotha wears a bunch of bling and over-priced clothing but he hasn't invested in TEETH WHITENING yet?!?!?! WHY do his teeth MATCH HIS HOODIE?!?!?! Felas, please help me understand this.............

And, on a side note- I'm SO happy Amerie finally decided to do something different with her hair. I am loving the color. It matches her sun (or tanning booth) bronzed skin so perfectly. I love her make-up too!!!!! She is definitely my muse- LOVE HER!!!!

Cause of Pimp C's Death Still Undetermined

From EURweb: The Los Angeles County Coroner's office continues to investigate the death of Texas rap star Pimp C nearly two months after his body was discovered in a hotel room in Hollywood.

"We are not releasing any preliminary information at this time," operations chief Craig Harvey told AllHipHop.com. "We're still conducting a series of tests. Once the test results are complete, then we will be in a position where we'll be releasing a final cause of death."

Security staff at the Mondrian Hotel found Pimp C dead in his room on Dec. 4, one day after the 33-year-old rapper's family and friends say he was scheduled to check out.

The artist, whose real name is Chad Butler, appeared to have died of natural causes, officials said at the time. No drugs or drug paraphernalia was present in the room.

Harvey said that the test results should be ready within the next 10-15 days, reports allhiphop.com.

LOS ANGELES — The city that popularized the fast food drive-thru has a new innovation: 24-hour medical marijuana vending machines.Patients suffering from chronic pain, loss of appetite and other ailments that marijuana is said to alleviate can get their pot with a dose of convenience at the Herbal Nutrition Center, where a large machine will dole out the drug around the clock. But federal drug agents say the invention may need unplugging.

"Somebody owns (it), it's on a property and somebody fills it," said DEA Special Agent Jose Martinez. "Once we find out where it's at, we'll look into it and see if they're violating laws."

At least three dispensaries in the city, including two belonging to Mehdizadeh, have installed vending machines to distribute the drug to people who carry cards authorizing marijuana use.Mehdizadeh said he spent seven months to develop and patent the black, armored box, which he calls the "PVM," or prescription vending machine.A sliding fence protects the tinted windows of his dispensary, barely distinguishing it from a busy thoroughfare of strip malls, automobile dealers and furniture shops. A box resembling a large refrigerator stands inside the nearly empty shop, near a few shelves stocked with vitamins and herbs.The computerized machine requires fingerprint identification and a prepaid card with a magnetic stripe. Once the card and fingerprint are verified, a bright green envelope with the pot drops down a slot.Mehdizadeh says any user approved for medical marijuana and registered in a computer database at his dispensaries can pre-purchase the drug and then use the machine to pick up.

Mehdizadeh said he sought the advice of doctors, and decided to limit the amount of marijuana per user to an ounce per week. Each purchase from the machine yields 1/8th or 2/8th of an ounce. By eliminating a vendor behind the counter, he said, the machine offers users lower drug prices. The 1/8th ounce packet would cost about $40 — $20 lower than the average price at other dispensaries.

Marijuana use is illegal under federal law, which does not recognize the medical marijuana laws in California and 11 other states.The Drug Enforcement Agency and other federal agencies have been actively shutting down major medical marijuana dispensaries throughout the state over the last two years and charging their operators with felony distribution charges.Mehdizadeh said the Herbal Nutrition Center was the target of a federal raid in December. He said no arrests were made and no charges have been filed against him.

Cuttin' Up

So, I'm listening to V-103 this morning and the question the posed was "Can a Cut Buddie Ever Turn Into More"? They had played a clip from something called GIA TV from Youtube (I've never watched) and this is a synopsis of a few of the rules she had listed:

Rules to Being A Cut Buddie

1) Don't cuddle with your cut buddie
2) Know what you are coming over for. Don't try to watch cable or have small talk.
3) 4 Places a buddie should see in your house

4) Don't go in my fridge. You don't have to be hospitable to a cut buddie


Alot of women were calling in saying that they had married their "cut buddie". I'm on the fence with this one. I'm sure we all have had a cut buddie and, as women, it's sometimes harder for us because we tend to get feelings involved when it comes to sex. It's more difficult for us to seperate the two.

Personally, I have had the same cut buddie for the past 3 years. I kind of keep him in my "side-pocket". If I'm not in a relationship or seeing anyone, he's there to satisfy whatever urge or need I may have. When I am in a relationship, we still talk on the phone and communicate. I talk to him about my boyfriends and honesty we talk about everything under the sun. He is like one of my closest friends- but we both know our place in each others lives.

Out of town, after the club, if I take a day off from work- that's my cut-buddie time. If we see each other in the club, we may speak briefly but we both keep it moving. Only his closest friend knows what it is between he and I and only my very, very close homegirls know. I've never been to his house and he has never been to mine. He JUST RECENTLY (like earlier this week) found out where I work at, and this is after 3 years!!!!!!! We keep things real surface so that they will never become deeper. I enjoy my "cut-buddieship"!!!! It's so easy going. If I don't answer my phone, there's no "Where were you at? Why you didn't answer my call?". I'm not obligated to see him or go out on dates with him and vice versa. I don't expect much from him so, in return I don't get my feelings hurt because there is no expectation for him to meet.

My 4 Rules For A Cut Buddie Are a Bit Different:

1) Don't let your cut-buddie know where you live. Stay in hotel rooms or do your thing out of town.

2) Talk to your cut buddie about other men. If you are going on a date with someone else, TELL HIM. If your boyfriend is getting on your nerves, TELL HIM. It may sound strange but men like to think that you are only theirs. They are selfish and this is the best way to squash that ego and let him know you are in control of this cut-buddieship.

3) DON'T DON'T DON'T talk to your cut buddie everyday. A few times a week is sufficient enough. It's even better if you talk by text al the time and then only talk by phone once or twice every couple of weeks. Text is very impersonal and an easy way to not catch feelings.

4) ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS stay protected. If this is just your cut buddie, they are cutting other folks so be smart about yourself. Also, you never want to make a cut buddy a life partner by accident, because that's exactly what will happen if you get pregnant.

"Jungle Fever" Fashions!!!!

It looks like the black and white color combinations are still going to be doing their thing this spring. We will begin to see more "thighs and legs" this season as women move away from denim jeans and experiment more with flirty, spring mini dresses. With the high-waist still making a big impression on the urban fashion world, you will also being to see more pencil skirts and the "Victorian" ruffled shirt look. Here are just a few inexpensive examples I found while web-browsing today. I also included a couple pairs of fly black and white combo shoes!!!!

My Impulse Buy!!!!!

I'm so cheap when it comes to fashions. I tend to follow the trends and add my own little twist to each outfit. Trends come and go so fast that I HATE to spend my money on things that will get pushed to the back of the closet never to be seen again. But this outfit right here, IMPULSE BUY!!!!! IT's very simple and will maybe cost $350 once all the pieces are put together but I have to have it!!!!! I don't know aboutmy fellow ladies, but I have recently found an undeniable LOVE and INFATUATION for rapper turned actor Common. Maybe it's the bald head or the freckles or just how powerful the message in his music is. Recently, Common has spread himself all over Hollywood being linked to various ladies- Keri Washington, Kim Kardashian, and now Serena Williams. Serena has had a couple "hot catches" this year. Jackie Long is a fine, chocolate brother with a smile that melts my heart. So I asked the question- What Is It About Serena?.........

Preg or Pudge?!?!?!

Nicole Ari-Parker and her super fine husband Boris Kudjoe attended the premiere of "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" last night out in Los An-jealous. Did I miss the memo? Is Nicole preg again?!?!?! I know if I slept in the same bed next to Boris each night, I'd keep a new baby every 40 weeks too!!!!! LOL!!!!! If she isn't preggers, she needs to not EVER forget her SPANX!!!!!!! She may also want to invest in the Squeem Brazilian Cincher if she needs help losing some of that old baby fat!!!!!! You decide for yourself- PREG or PUDGE?

The SAG Awards Style

I had the pleasure of gracing the red carpet of the Sag Awards last night, with all my beauteousness and fantasticism. Since I was able to get up close and personal backstage, live and in person, here are my pics for best and worst style:

Best:

Kyra Sedgewick. I loved the color and the dress fit like a glove. It looked stunning on her. The back was extremely gorgeous with a lace train draped from the back split. Her makeup was clean and natural and her skin was glowing. She looks very young and not plastic at all. Loved her!Marcia Cross has never really been on my style radar until last night, but she was gorgeous. As a former redhead, I'm loving her color-very rich.I believe she just had TWINS but you can't tell at all. She was also surprisingly very tall. I'm 6'1 or 6'2 with heels on and we were eye-to-eye. I loved the fabric of the dress and the color was striking against her pale skin and red-orange hair. Her coral-pink bracelet was to die for! Loved it.Honorable mention goes to Kate Beckinsale because I loved the color of her dress. She had a slight hair malfunction last nite I was able to help her with and she was soooo nice. I'm not familiar with her work, but I loved her energy, so she goes on my list.Another Honorable Mention goes to America Ferrera because she was so cute and person, unlike her "Ugly Betty" character. I thought she was going to be down with the big girls club, but no. I don't know what the media is talking about, calling her curvy, because she's tiny. She maybe wears a 5/6 at the most? Her skin looked very fresh and young. It's not my favorite dress or color but something about her caught my eye so she stays.
Worst:

Now for the bad news. Sandra Oh-what is this????Your new name is Sandra "Oh Hell to the NO" because that's exactly what I said when I saw this gray and fuchsia catastrophe.

Jane Krakowski, this looks like a bowl of pea soup barf with mentos and skittles floating at the top.

Chandra Wilson....I want you to rep for the big girls club so bad!!! But this $5 Dreamgirls throwback wig and lack of "Spanx" on the red carpet is not going to cut it! And are your toes dragging outta the front of those shoes, cutting up the carpet? Try again, we're all counting on you.

I wanted to love Vanessa Williams, but I just couldn't. She scared me. Her skin looked so badly sun damaged and burnt. Her hair is the same color as her face. And her face looked so tightly nipped and tucked back, this is all I could think of:

And please name one show you have seen Anne Marie Johnson on since "In The Heat of the Night" (1988). This is called "desperately trying to stay relevant" people. Please invest your heyday money and retire gracefully. Look at her "the fans still love me" pose! And peep the suede Payless pumps she copped from the set of "Strictly Business" in the early 90's. I guess since BET has been playing the movie, she felt she was hott again and needed to hit the red carpet! I think not!
